Dr. Raga currently leads the group on Micro and Mesoscale Interactions, focusing on physical processes of aerosols and clouds, precipitation, electrification and development and organization of convective systems including hurricanes. She has published more than 70 papers in international refereed journals; has been very active as a lecturer since 1996. She has been the lead investigator in many projects, including international collaborations.

She’s a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences and is recognized by the National System of Research in Mexico (SNI) as Level III. She participated as Lead Author in Working Group I for the Fourth Assessment of the International Panel for Climate Change, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. She was awarded the prize Sor Juana de la Cruz at UNAM in 2009 and has served as Chief Editor of the journal Atmosfera. She’s currently Co-Chair of the Regional Assessment of short-lived climate pollutants for Latin America and the Caribbean.
