Call for STRI-CMAR IAI STeP Fellow Open Until 19 May

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) has opened the call for applicants to a Science, Technology, Policy (STeP) fellowship supervised by the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama to support the Eastern Pacific Marine Corridor (CMAR) Secretariat.  The fellow will focus on the 2025-2035 CMAR work plan and co-design a research project on socio-ecological aspects related to one or more of the challenges of the UN Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development (2021-2030). This is an opportunity for professionals in the early stages of their careers in marine science, conservation, and public policy.

Requirements:

  • Experience in global environmental change, marine science, or policy.
  • Early-career researcher (obtained a PhD degree or equivalent within the last 10 years).
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
